Gesher Jewish Day School relies on the generous support of parents, grandparents, community members, alumni, and friends to help us meet our mission of providing an outstanding Jewish education for the Jewish families living in Northern Virginia.
A successful Annual Fund is vital because tuition only covers 60% of the cost of educating our children. Contributions to the Annual Fund help us bridge the gap in funding needs. Annual Fund contributions provide books, resource support, technology upgrades, science equipment, art supplies, sports equipment and opportunities for professional development. We ask all parents to participate in the Annual Fund campaign - with a goal of achieving 100% parent participation in the Annual Fund each year.
Every gift to the Annual Fund helps us provide an outstanding Jewish education and each gift is greatly appreciated. Head of School Circle
The Head of School Circle is a giving society of parents, grandparents, community members, and friends of the school who give $1,000 a year to the Annual Fund. Head of School Circle donors are acknowledged in school publications and through special programs and events.
Saba V’Safta Circle
Grandparents who give $1,000 to the Annual Fund are members of the Saba V’Safta Circle. Each spring, the members of this giving society are invited to a proper English tea hosted by Gesher’s Head of School, Dr. Zvi Schoenburg, and his lovely wife Ingrid.

Rebate Programs-Additional Ways to Help Gesher Earn Resources
Grocery Scrip
Scrip allows you to purchase gift certificates or gift cards to supermarkets and support Gesher at the same time. When you purchase Scrip, there is no additional cost to you, and Gesher receives 4-5% of the amount you purchase. If all Gesher families purchased $200 of Scrip a month Gesher would earn $10,000! So please participate in Scrip.
We sell Scrip for Giant, Safeway, Shoppers Food Warehouse, and Koshermart. Scrip can be purchased at the Gesher office with cash or check using this form or you can sign up for monthly account deduction from your checking account with the school business office. Grocery Store Bonus Cards
When you shop at Giant, Harris Teeter and Safeway using your grocery store card, these stores will donate money to Gesher. Each fall go to the store's website and follow the instructions to enroll in grocery store bonus card programs.

Retail Scrip
Retail Scrip allows you to buy gifts for family and friends and support Gesher at the same time.
